Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Gas Systems Specialist job in Windsor, CT.  This direct hire job is available with one of our key customers in the marine fuel cell power systems industry. In this role, you will be responsible in leading the design, testing, safety, and deployment of advanced gas delivery systems that support fuel cell-powered autonomous underwater vehicles. In order to be successful in this position, you must you must have experience with high-pressure gas systems and a strong understanding of safety-critical engineering practices involving flammable and oxidizing gases. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in hydrogen fuel systems, fuel cell technology, or maritime and subsea applications. 

Gas Systems Specialist  Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the design for both the on-board gas delivery system for the fuel cell as well as the ground support equipment (fueling, venting, maintenance, etc.)
  • Ensure all safety analyses are complete, accurate, and well-documented
  • Develop procedures, infrastructure, and training in place for oxygen cleaning, inspection, clean assembly, and maintainability
  • Develop procedures, infrastructure, and training in place for high-pressure testing
  • Develop system verification and validation plans, including detailed test procedures, criteria, and required test equipment

Qualifications:

  • Seven plus years of gas systems engineering experience
  • Experience with high-pressure gas systems, hydrogen systems, oxygen systems, flammable gases, and oxidizing gases
  • Experience owning safety and performance of deployed systems
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, NFPA 2, CGA 5.5, ASTM G88
  • Experience developing testing procedures, verification & validation plans, safety documentation, and operating procedures
