Job description

Way Mechanical is a mechanical and plumbing contractor located in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Nashville and Houston. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, service, and the maintenance of these systems. Way Mechanical is a great place to work and build a career! We are currently looking for a journeyman plumber to join our team!

Responsibilities
  • Assembly of PVC, Cast Iron, Copper, Screw Pipe, and Gas Pipe and fittings using couplings, pro press, grooved, fused, clamps, bolts, screws, plastic solvent, soldering and brazing.
  • Piping systems include Domestic Water, Sanitary Waste and Vent, Storm, Natural Gas, Acid Waste, and Condensate systems.
  • Experience with underground plumbing installation.
  • Understand installation of piping systems according to the contract drawings, shop drawings, and details.
  • Keeps work area clean and in an orderly condition. Follows all company and jobsite / OSHA safety regulations.
  • Experience with pre-fabrication and material takeoffs.
  • Able to lead and train plumbing apprentices.
Qualifications:
  • 4 years or more of commercial project work experience with Journeyman Plumbing License
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Able to stand, lift, put together, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs. without assistance. Able to climb ladders.
