Job description

Summary:
We are seeking a Sewer, Water & Drainage Pipelayer to join a crew of 1 Foreman, 2 Excavator Operators, 1 Tailman and 1 General Laborer. The Pipelayer will primarily dig ditches and operate laser levels/grade rods. All work is in Broward & Palm Beach County, FL and no travel to Miami/elsewhere is required. Majority of the work is on golf courses and large commercial warehouses, with previous work being on projects such as gas stations, banks, Publix's, and apartment complexes. The crews will be installing sewer, water and drainage pipes; sewer pipes are 8-inches in diameter, water piping is 6-10inches in diameter and drainage pipes can be 12-60 inches.
Responsibilities
- Set manholes and catch basins
- Utilize grade shooting techniques
- Interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate pipe alignment/depth
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pipe laying experience in water, sewer and drainage specifically
- Able to lift 75+ lbs
- Understanding of survey markings and flags
- Able to utilize a laser level and grade pole
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
- Clean driving history
Preferred qualifications:
- Front-end loader operating experience
- Experience driving/pulling a trailer
