Miller Pipeline is hiring a Meter Technician to connect and disconnect meters used by residential and commercial consumers.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Receive service orders on a daily basis from the utility office, and close out orders.
  • Connect and disconnect meters.
  • Perform read-outs or read-ins.
  • Walk or drive truck over established route.
  • Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections.
  • Indicate irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department.
  • Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles and equipment receive the proper care and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Related experience or training.
  • Current Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • General phone and computer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ year gas construction experience.
  • General understanding of gas appliances, wrenches and pipe fittings.
  • Meter Service Technician certificate.
