Gas and Chemical Systems / Gas Engineering Team Lead
My name is Bill Stevens, and I have a new full-time Gas and Chemical Systems / Gas Engineering Team Lead opportunity available for a major firm in Austin, Texas that could be of interest to you, please review my specification below and I am available at any time to speak with you so please feel free to call me.
The firms Gas and Chemical Systems / Gas Engineering Team Lead role is focused on leading an engineering team that comprehensively owns, maintains, supports, and improves specialty and bulk gas equipment.
This position leads the engineering team and ensures effective collaboration with operations and maintenance teams, as well as customer groups, to provide world-class equipment performance in the supply of gases supporting fab production.
This role is also responsible for supporting the planning, construction, startup and commissioning of new equipment, as well as the development and execution of projects to improve safety, quality, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Lead and direct manage a small team of nine engineers.
Lead and participate in safety initiatives, programs, and activities to drive world class safety performance.
Provide technical expertise and ownership for gas systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. The Lead Engineer will interact with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment.
Support technical troubleshooting of emergent equipment issues.
Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements.
Communicate and coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability.
Continually drive group culture toward greater learning, development, and overall job satisfaction.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
Minimum of six year's direct operations experience related to gas and/or chemical supply systems, or otherwise, equipment that utilizes gases and/or chemicals for processing.
Semiconductor or electronics facility support preferred, with an emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.
Direct leadership and management of teams is preferred.
This position will be paying a competitive fulltime salary in the range of $120,000 - $150,000, a comprehensive benefits package and a relocation assistant package for the ideal candidate.
