We are looking for a Warehouse Driver to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, enjoys hands-on work, working with a team, seeking stability, growth, competitive pay and being part of a supportive environment.
Summary:
The employee in this position will be responsible for making local deliveries in our warehouse vehicle, on a daily basis, between one or more locations. This position also requires general warehouse knowledge of warehouse operations such as picking and pulling orders. Forklift experience is a plus. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds is required. Work environment includes company vehicles and warehouse, plant or production areas with periods of continual driving/sitting and occasional standing or walking. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing is required. Must have a clean driving record and have a medical card. Pre-employment drug screening will be required post offer.
Class A CDL preferred. Experience in the water/sewer utilities field is a plus.
Job Functions (Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements):
The primary duties consist of (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Follow safety rules and work procedures.
  • Prepare receipts for load picked up. May maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
  • May load and unload truck; inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water; and/or perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
  • Cleans work area or vehicle.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
