Job description

Description

Hallam-ICS is seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to join our growing Malta, NY office. This position supports clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, advanced technology, higher education, and research industries throughout the region.

Our electrical engineers design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, gas detection and auxiliary facility systems for technically complex buildings and industrial facilities. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, supporting projects from concept through construction.

This is a growth-oriented position with opportunities for mentorship, technical development, and increasing responsibility. Successful candidates will regularly coordinate with internal engineering teams, architects, contractors, equipment vendors, and client stakeholders. Site visits and field investigations are a regular part of the role.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, technical, and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in building systems engineering, including power, lighting, fire alarm, gas detection, and auxiliary systems
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other engineering design software preferred
  • Interest in learning applicable construction codes
  • EIT certification or progress toward EIT preferred
  • Internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or technical environments is a plus
