Job Title: Field Operator II - Compressor Operator
Schedule: 7/7
Location: Midkiff, TX
This opportunity is focused on the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression equipment within a compressor station environment. The role supports equipment reliability, operational performance, and accurate reporting across compressor, dehydration, and control systems. This position offers technically varied work involving monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and compliance with site safety standards.
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in gas compression, oil and gas operations, or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience working with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and process controls.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and associated equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to adjust operating parameters to maintain pressure, flow, and operating efficiency.
  • Experience carrying out routine inspections and recording equipment readings to identify irregularities.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance and support repairs on compressors, engines, and auxiliary systems.
  • Ability to identify mechanical or process issues and escalate when required.
  • Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
  • Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, and stand for extended periods.

  • OSHA 10/30 certification (Preferred).
  • H2S Awareness certification (Preferred).
