Job description

Speech Therapy Manager

The position of Speech Therapy Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech Service line. This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital. The position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services at each Garfield Medical Center.

Speech Manager is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, mentoring and improving the activities of all Speech service line. This includes staffing and program development in Acute Care, Acute Rehabilitation, and Outpatient Services, at both Garfield Medical Center and Monterey Park Hospital. Involved in direct patient care minimum of 50%.

Education, Experience, Training

  • Entry level degree and appropriate licensure in Allied Health Profession required (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology).
  • Minimum five years patient care experience to include acute care, outpatient and inpatient rehab.
  • Supervisory experience, teaching, training and mentoring experience preferred.
  • Current BLS.
