Invite a friend Back to job search Job Description Job Summary The position is a "working" Sales Manager role responsible for directing, managing, and leading the overall sales operation of a new organization that is an authorized dealer for Gardner Denver. The Sales Manager will also have salesperson responsibility for the complete line of Gardner Denver air compressor product sales in order to meet monthly and annual goals. This position sells air compressor products using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products to their needs resulting in revenue generation.

Provides input and participates in marketing of air compressor products. Essential Job Functions - Sales Coordination: Sell small compressor systems and equipment repair parts, pass large leads to systems engineers, update customers on shipments, prepare proposals for customers, and inform systems engineers of price changes, product updates, Gardner Denver (GD) promotions, or other special promotions sponsored by vendors. - Inventory: Order and manage all equipment and parts inventory, prepare items for shipment, coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment / parts as necessary.

Load/Unload trucks for incoming or outgoing items. Place stock orders of compressors, dryers, accessories, and parts for PACS. Evaluate equipment/parts inventory and plan stock orders with management direction.

Perform reconcile of inventory bi-annually. - Order Processing: Enter customer orders for equipment/parts on Gardner Denver CC360 ordering portal, and other vendors. Quote parts for Service Department and load to the Service repair jobs on Fieldservio.

- Dealer Network: Establish dealer price levels with sales manager, and update dealer price sheets. Coordinate distribution of dealer pricing and marketing material. Visit dealers with Sales Engineers as needed.

- Reports: Prepare New Bookings report and Backlog report on a monthly basis. Create Parts Inventory reports and Variance reports monthly. - Marketing: Assist Management with Light Industrial Marketing Plan, both for Dealers and End-customers.

Help design new proposal forms and templates. Learn about competitive products for strategy development. - Administration: Add customer information (equipment, contacts, email, etc.) to PACS business system (Fieldservio), call factory/vendors to get technical and/or shipping information, generate and close invoices, check and respond to voicemail and email messages hourly

Organize and maintain office filing system, with a database of PACS forms and templates. Additional Job Functions - Make outside sales calls as needed when systems engineers are on vacation - Provide business system training to Systems Engineers, warehouse persons, or others as needed - Support the Service department during coverage shortages - Evaluate and reestablish yearly sales and work goals. - Assist Management with department functions and coordination of meetings Ensure environment, health and safety compliance.

Operate forklift within compliance Experience and Skills - Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel) - Incorporate time management and organization skills on a continuous basis - Well-developed sales skills including excellent oral and written communication abilities, and basic marketing knowledge - Basic mechanical and technical aptitude - Bi-lingual language is a positive, but not mandatory. - Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

- Must be able to operate a forklift (PACS forklift safety training and certification provided and required) - Must be able to handle high pressure situations, multi-task, and adapt well to changes in the market - Ability to perform work that exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and perform work requiring frequent talking, walking, standing, and hearing - Must have visual acuity to perform work on a computer, to inspect/utilize equipment and manage data - Ability to perform functions during occasional bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, feeling, climbing, balancing, lifting, kneeling, pushing, pulling and finger activities - The working conditions require exposure to non-climate controlled environments, moving parts, driving, and loud noise levels - Ability to travel locally and long distance on occasion Minimum Job Qualifications (education, work experience, licenses/certifications) - Associates degree, or 2 to 5 years of office work experience (industrial type preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
