Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, was founded in 1926. Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast's most vibrant, exciting areas.
Hope Valley is hiring for a Gardener. The Gardener will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and enhancement of all clubhouse landscape areas. This includes managing plant health, seasonal displays, and the aesthetic appeal of beds, containers, shrubs, and trees surrounding the clubhouse, pool, and tennis complex. The role supports the club's goal of providing a pristine, welcoming environment for members and guests.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and enhances landscape beds, planters, and ornamental garden areas around the clubhouse, pool, and tennis facilities.
  • Plants, prunes, mulches, waters, and fertilizes flowers, shrubs, trees, and groundcover.
  • Install seasonal floral displays.
  • Maintains tools and horticultural equipment; cleans and inspects tools after use.
  • Assists with holiday and event décor installation when required.
  • Collaborates with the Horticulturist to ensure a consistent, high-quality landscape presentation.
  • Reports any issues with plant health, irrigation, or landscape infrastructure to supervisor.
  • Maintains cleanliness of exterior clubhouse walkways and entry points as it relates to landscape debris.
