Ace Hardware is seeking a Garden Center Associate to join our team and provide exceptional service to our customers. As a Garden Center Associate, you will play a vital role in helping customers find the perfect plants and supplies for their gardening needs. Responsibilities 

· Aid customers in selecting the right plants and gardening supplies based on their needs and preferences.

· Provide expert knowledge and advice on plant care and maintenance.

· Ensure the garden center is well-organized, clean, and fully stocked at all times.

· Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.

· Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and prompt manner.

· Collaborate with team members to create attractive displays and promotions.

· Continuously expand knowledge of gardening techniques and new products.

· Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and colleagues.

· Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

· Help with inventory management and ordering supplies.

· Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the company.

· Actively promote and sell Ace Hardware's gardening products and services.

· Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

· Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and goals.

· Handle any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the store manager.

Job Qualifications:

· Knowledge Of Gardening and Horticulture

· A Garden Center Associate Should Have a Strong Understanding of Plants, Gardening Techniques 

· Horticulture Principles in Order to Assist Customers with Their Gardening Needs.

· Customer Service Skills: Excellent Customer Service Is Essential for A Garden Center Associate.

· Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Frequent Lifting, Carrying, And Moving of Heavy Items Such as Bags of Soil and Potted Plants. 

· Sales Experience: A Garden Center Associate Should Have Experience in Sales Or 

· Responsible For Selling Products and Meeting Sales Targets. 

· A Strong Understanding of Inventory Management And 

· Be Able to Keep Track of Stock Levels.

· Must be able to stand the entire shift.

· Must have good customer service skills, people friendly, responsible and dependable.

· Must be able to read, write and perform basic computer skills.

· Demonstrates excellent customer relations and communication skills.

· Must be able to read and write English, perform basic math skills.

· High energy level.

· Able to work in teams to carry out tasks.

· Demonstrated ability to follow through on work direction.

· Work is performed in areas with weather extremes of heat and cold, and wet conditions.

· The position requires standing/walking on hard surface during the entire shift, working at a fast pace.

· Must be able to lift 50lbs. with frequent bending.

· Retail or horticulture experience is a plus.

· Plant Identification Skills: A Garden Center Associate Should Be Able to Identify Different Types of Plants and Their Specific Care Needs.
