Job description

Residential Garbage Truck Driver
Location: Pasco West Hauling - New Port Richey, FL
đź’° Pay: $25/hr + Overtime Opportunities
Waste Connections is looking for safety-focused CDL Drivers who take pride in their work and live out our #1 Value: Safety! We are hiring Residential Garbage Truck Drivers to join our team in New Port Richey, FL.
Schedule
  • Monday-Friday | Day shift starting at 3:00 AM
  • Typical workday: 10-11 hours
  • Every 3rd Saturday for additional overtime
  • Full-time, year-round position (50-55 hours/week)

Position Summary
  • Operate a Residential Garbage Truck on assigned routes
  • Driver-to-driver position - you will be driving and manually servicing routes by tossing trash bins and bags into the truck
  • Safely and efficiently collect residential waste
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers
  • Frequent climbing in and out of the truck required throughout the day
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Job Requirements
  • Valid Class A or B CDL License
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience with a stable work history (driving experience preferred)
  • Ability to perform physical labor including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Garbage truck or labor-intensive driving experience preferred
  • Veterans are encouraged to apply
