The Position

To ensure the cleanliness of all back of house areas across the resort from floors, walls, fridges, kitchen equipment etc. To also ensure the cleanliness and hygienic storage of all China, glass, silver and flatware across all restaurants, bars and banquet facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleans all kitchens, kitchen equipment and service areas as assigned by supervisor.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards.
  • Maintains perfect order of all back of house areas including storage rooms, kitchens, utilities, halls and bars.
  • Removes food from dishes and place dirty dishes on conveyor belt.
  • Feed or unload dishes from a multitude of dish machines, ensure said machines are cleaned, rinsed and tanks refreshed as specified.
  • Steam clean and scrubs tile surfaces, floors, ceilings and kitchen hoods.
  • Picks up and wheels garbage pails and other waste materials from back of house areas to compactors and sorts appropriately based on the resorts recycling program
  • Stocks all restaurants with plates, China, glassware and any other requirements of both the serving and culinary teams
  • Loads and compacts cardboard, tin and garbage into compactors
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned

What You Bring

  • Strictly observes all WHMIS, Casino Rama and Kitchen Services health & safety policies
  • This position is physically demanding. The position requires:
    • To be on your feet for a full 8-hour shift
    • Lifting up to 50lb of product repeatedly throughout a full 8-hour shift
    • Working in a hot (105F) or cold (34F) environment
    • Working in wet and steamy environment
