Description
Main Purpose
To perform any manual labor tasks as assigned safely and efficiently. Follow instructions as issued with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
  • Clean all offices, office bathrooms, and yard bathrooms, which will entail emptying garbage cans and containers, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets and urinals.
  • Clean yard grounds and police the general plant and shop areas to pick up and dispose of all trash, paper, cans, and steel scrap.
  • Perform general maintenance, replacing bathroom supplies (soap, paper, etc.), repairing bathroom fixtures, repainting signs, and washing office buildings.
  • Move furniture inside offices.
  • Cut grass with gasoline power mowers.
  • Operate gas-powered weed eater weighing approximately 20-25 pounds.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing
  • Turning, twisting, bending, and balancing
  • Pushing, pulling and reaching
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds

Tools, Equipment, and Technology:
Individuals must know how to safely operate push lawn mowers, gas-powered weed eaters, and small to medium-sized tractors used to cut grass and maintain yard roads and parking areas. Must be able to read and write.
Environmental Conditions:
Eighty percent of the work activities are performed outside of the office and shop buildings. Individuals would be required to work in changes of temperature, wet/rainy conditions, dry and humid conditions, dust, noise, and occasional vibrations when operating machinery. There will also be some minimal fumes when working with or around gas/diesel powered machinery or working near blasting or painting operations.
