Job description

The Allure Event Center in Chesterton, IN is looking for dishwashers to join our team!

We are located on 526 Indian Boundary Road in Chesterton. However, we also have a location in LaPorte and you would be required to work there occasionally. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated and engaged, with a positive attitude.

Dishwasher Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines.
  • Wash specific items by hand.
  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment properly·       
  • Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
  • Remove garbage regularly.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including mopping the floors.
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.
  • Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
  • Assist Chef in plating of simple food items as needed.

 Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous dishwasher experience a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed.
  • Time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
  • Schedule requires evenings and weekends.
