Job description

Waste Connections is Hiring a Automated Side Load in Miami FL!

PAY: $23-$25/hr DOE, working 50-55 hours a week.

A typical schedule is Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The workweek is approximately 50-55 hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safely operate a Automated Side Load garbage truckon specified routes to collect commercial solid waste.

  • Ensure accurate and timely collection and disposal of waste by operating hydraulic systems to empty containers.

  • Interact courteously with customers while performing the job.

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.

  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during collection and disposal.

  • Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading waste from front-load containers.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the truck and work area.

  • Follow route sheets and service each customer assigned by the dispatcher.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

  • Extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.

  • Work environment may involve some exposure to physical risks, including moving mechanical parts, requiring basic safety precautions.

  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including wet/humid conditions, as well as fumes and vibration. Noise levels are typically moderate.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs without accommodation.

  • At least 2+ years of stable job history, with most recent job being a CDL driver position

  • At least 2 years of CDL driving experience.

  • No accidentson driving record in the last five years
