Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is looking for an Affordable Property Manager with amazing attention to detail and exceptional customer service for the 54-unit apartment community of Lents Commons. Amenities at this LEED-certified, apartment community include a laundry facility, bike storage, community recreation room with ping pong table, on and off-street parking. This property is ideally located just minutes from stores, restaurants, boutiques, food carts and shopping. Public transportation is very convenient, including TriMet bus lines #10, #14, #73 #72 & the MAX Green line. Close to Lents Park, which offers a baseball stadium, soccer field, tennis and basketball courts, and ample open field space are located nearby. The Affordable Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day property management including marketing, maintaining property integrity, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, serving notices, developing reports, and preparing agreements.


This property has sixteen (16) income-restricted apartments through Portland Housing Bureau and income limits apply; water / sewer / garbage costs are included for these apartments. The remaining thirty-eight (38) apartments are market rate, and a third-party billing service is used to bill back water / sewer / garbage monthly to the market rate residents.

Additional Compensation: A monthly $50.00 cell phone stipend and mileage reimbursement. Should you be interested in living at this property, a reduced rental rate of approximately 50% off market rent at the time of application.

What you will bring as the Affordable Property Manager

  • Two (2) years of previous customer service experience are required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous property management experience is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of affordable housing programs is required (LIHTC or similar).
  • Previous Yardi Property Management Software experience is preferred.
  • Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks involving collecting rent, preparation of reports, agreements, etc.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly while paying attention to detail.
  • Available for after-hours emergencies.
  • Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and safety protocols.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • A current valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
