  • $25.00 plus per hour

Position Summary

  • Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste
  • Read route sheets and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher
  • Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections including fluids, safety equipment, and tires
  • Handle a physically demanding role including loading and unloading, sometimes without helpers
  • Operate hydraulic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose at designated facilities
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Occasional Saturdays as needed
  • Average 50 hour work week

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B CDL with no restrictions
  • Must be able to operate both manual and automatic trucks
  • At least 2 years of work experience with a stable work history, preferably in a driving role
  • Ability to lift 50 plus pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Garbage truck experience is a plus
