Job Description

The right team is more than an advantage; it’s a game changer! Come work with a team of professionals dedicated to design excellence at Coffman Engineers’ Phoenix, Arizona Office.

We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer with three plus years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Approximate Base Salary – $90,000 - $110,000 based on skills and experience.
  • Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.
  • Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance.
  • Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change).
  • 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and construction practices 
  • Experience with the National Electrical Code
  • Past experience with a multi-discipline engineering/consulting firm
  • Experience with power design and layouts, equipment and mechanical coordination and lighting design and layouts utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with load calculations, branch circuiting, voltage drop, short circuit calculations and photometric calculations.
  • Experience with performing photometric calculations utilizing AGi32
  • Experience with performing California Title 24 calculation with EnergyPro software.
  • Experience with communications design and layout is preferred.
  • Experience with power system analysis software such as SKM, etap, etc. is a plus.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Registration as EIT/FE required 
  • Registered as PE as plus. 
  • 3 plus years of experience in electrical design with electrical engineering firm in the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks with supervision.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Approximate Base Salary – $90,000 - $110,000 based on skills and experience
