Location: INTRUST Bank Arena, 500 East Waterman, Wichita, KS 67202
Team: Wichita Thunder
Reports To: Director of Merchandise and Community Relations
Status: Part-Time | Non-Exempt | Nights, Weekends & Game Days Required | Seasonal
Position Summary:Join the team behind the team! As a Retail Sales Associate for the Wichita Thunder, you'll be part of an energetic and passionate crew that delivers an unforgettable fan experience. Whether it's game night or a busy week at the team store, you'll help fans gear up and show their pride while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role is seasonal for the 2026/2027 Thunder season.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide friendly, informed, and efficient service to all fans and customers
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately
• Assist with merchandising, restocking, and visual displays to maintain a clean, organized store
• Promote current team merchandise, game-day specials, and promotions
• Engage with fans to create a positive and memorable shopping experience
• Assist in inventory management including receiving, tagging, and organizing product
• Uphold store and arena safety and cleanliness standards
• Work all scheduled home games and key events (includes evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Qualifications:
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred, especially in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for hockey and enthusiasm for the Wichita Thunder brand
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
