Gaming Associates work under the supervision of gaming supervisors and are often employed in casinos, racetracks, or other gaming establishments.

What does a gaming associate do?

Gaming associates are employed by casinos to provide customer service and general operations support. The duties of a gaming associate may include greeting guests and answering any questions they may have about the casino or specific games. Gaming associates also help oversee operations on the floor, ensuring that dealers are collecting bets handling money per the supervisor’s guidelines. A gaming associate needs strong interpersonal, communication and math skills. Most entry-level positions require a high school diploma and provide on-the-job training.

Many Gaming Associates find that developing a solid understanding of game rules and procedures, along with ongoing training, helps them remain efficient and provide excellent customer service even during the busiest times.
