What We Do

What You'll Do
Join Unreal Cloud Services, the team behind Lore (Epic's next-generation, open-source version control system built for the future of game development). You'll work at the boundary between editor and cloud, making distributed workflows, collaboration, and version control feel like a natural part of the creator experience. As Unreal evolves toward UE6, you'll help bring these capabilities together into a cohesive editor experience.
In this role, you will
  • Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflows
  • Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed servi
  • Work across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to make cloud-backed workflows feel natural to Unreal Engi
  • Partner with Product and UX teams to turn product ideas into clear, practical, and polished editor experiences
  • Collaborate with backend and infrastructure engineers on features that span the editor and cloud services
  • Use modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration
What we're looking for
  • Strong C++ skills and experience working in a large native codebase
  • Experience building user-facing tools, editor features, and complex interactive workflows
  • Experience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services
  • Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling
  • Strong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflows
  • Experience working closely with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship features
  • Experience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools development
  • Experience with Rust is a plus
