Coordinator Of New Student Orientation & Game Day Experience

The Coordinator of New Student Orientation & Game Day Experience is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-impact experiences that foster student engagement and school spirit from a student's onboarding experiences to Misericordia University through their ongoing campus involvement. This role integrates new student orientation and transition programming with the coordination of athletics game day and campus spirit activities, supporting persistence, retention, and a strong sense of community and school pride.

Reporting to the Dean of Campus Life, the Coordinator collaborates closely with all Mission & Student Life departments, Athletics, Enrollment Management/Admissions, and other campus partners to ensure welcoming, inclusive, and mission-aligned experiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in student engagement, new student onboarding/orientation programs, event planning and execution.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills; comfortability of speaking in front of large crowds to deliver professional and engaging presentations.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by orientation, athletics and campus life event schedules.

Experience:

  • Master's degree in higher education or a related field.
  • Experience working collaboratively with admissions, athletics, and student life units.
  • Knowledge of student development theory and student success practices.
  • Experience using assessment data to inform programming and improvement.
