Position Overview
As a Host at Party Fowl, you are the first face our guests see and the first impression they receive. In this guest-facing role, you'll be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing table flow, and setting the tone for a positive dining experience.
You'll thrive in this role if you bring a warm smile, strong organizational skills, and a guest-first mindset. Our Hosts are leaders in hospitality and ambassadors for the Party Fowl experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage the waitlist and accurately quote wait times.
• Distribute menus and answer initial guest questions.
• Assign and seat guests according to table availability and guest preferences, while maintaining balanced server sections.
• Monitor the dining area to anticipate guest needs and communicate updates with team members.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take reservations, and assist with to-go orders.
• Use tablets or point-of-sale systems to process online orders from partner platforms.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, bathrooms, and retail area.
• Support other front-of-house team members as needed during high-volume shifts.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each guest interaction.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using POS systems, tablets, and reservation software.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds occasionally.
• Willing to assist with light cleaning duties, including bathrooms and retail areas.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
