Dual Rate Cage Cashier/Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:
The Cage Cashier is responsible for providing monetary services for SGE guests, including, but not limited to: exchanging tickets for cash; processing advances drawn from credit and debit cards; establishing and processing transactions for patron deposit accounts; and making change. The Cage Cashier is also responsible for providing monetary services for other casino departments and team members thereof. Additionally, the Cage Cashier is responsible for all duties of a Main Banker and General Cashier Banker, as well as for maintaining and supporting various remote kiosks, which service guests and other casino departments. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming and Entertainment's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains and reconciles all assigned SGE assets during the course of a shift or gaming day.
2. Allots jackpots to slot attendants for payment to guests; distributes and collects slot attendant banks.
3. Distributes and collects cashier banks.
4. Orders monies through exchange slips.
5. Redeems tickets for currency and coin.
6. Completes cash advances, cashes personal checks.
7. Uses coin sorters, wrappers and currency counters; counts down station/float/bank, puts coin away and verifies money
received from vault/bank/drop.
8. Accepts and distributes funds representing patron deposits, withdrawals, and wire transfers.
9. Maintains remote kiosks for redemptions, purchases, jackpots, etc. as necessary.
10. Maintains counter check inventories and deposits; processes transactions affecting those inventories.
11. Maintains accountability for assigned keys and key inventories.
12. Provides any assistance as needed to immediate supervisor.
13. Remains thoroughly knowledgeable of all appropriate regulations.
14. Works closely with team members of gaming departments and casino cage departments.
SECONDARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs the duties of cage cashier.
2. Allots jackpots to Slot Attendants for payment to guests.
3. Maintain remote kiosks for redemption, purchases, jackpots, etc. as necessary.
4. Completes required Cage forms and reports as needed/required.
5. Provides direct supervision to Gaming, Vault and/or Cage Cashiers during assigned shifts.
6. Assures Cage Staff provides quality customer service to the guests of Seneca Gaming and Entertainment.
7. Creates, maintains and/or assists in providing reports to the Financial Assistant Manager on schedule changes, team member changes, etc.
8. Monitors, evaluates, and presents solutions to existing and potential problem areas.
9. Second verifying cage accountability as needed/required.
10. Reads daily progressive meters turned into the Vault Cashiers for review (Salamanca and Irving locations) and to Security Guard(s) at Oil Spring and once completed; turned into Accounting & Finance.
11. Maintains accountability for assigned keys and key inventories.
12. Monitors and maintains departmental inventory of working currency, coin, forms, equipment, (radios, coin counters, coin
wrappers, currency counters, computer systems, printers, and calculators), etc.
13. Assesses equipment problems and determines when repairs are needed; coordinates service efforts.
14. Maintains a current understanding of all policies and guidelines regarding information security, including the Seneca Gaming
and Entertainment Variance Policy. Understands and complies with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
15. Conforms to all rules and regulations of SGE CTR/SAR compliance.16. Maintains the confidentiality of all gaming records.
17. Provides exceptional guest service to all guests and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
Maintains a professional work environment with peers, supervisors, managers, and all other team members.
18. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
19. Completes all required SGE Training programs within specified guidelines from commencement of employment.
20. Attends all necessary meetings.

Education/Experience:
1. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
3. Two (2) years of successful experience being responsible for large sums of money and/or one (1) year of successful casino cage cashier experience (or any combination thereof) required.
4. Two (2) years of successful supervisory experience preferred.
5. Six (6) months experience in all cage banks preferred.
6. Effective math skills are required; applicants may be required to pass an SGC-administered math skills test.
7. Must be able to operate office equipment, including a 10-key adding machine, personal computer, telephone, and multifunction photocopier.
8. One (1) year of previous customer service experience preferred
