NOW HIRING — TEST & TRIALS WORKERS

West Hill Staffing Group is seeking experienced Test & Trials personnel to support Pascagoula. MS based during vessel commissioning, system testing, and sea trials. These roles require high‐level mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills, strong shipyard experience, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast‐moving environment.

Position Overview

Test & Trials Workers are responsible for performing operational, functional, and performance testing on shipboard systems. You will support commissioning, diagnose issues, document results, and assist during dock trials and sea trials.

We are hiring for both Mechanical and Electrical Test & Trials roles.

Mechanical Test & Trials Responsibilities

  • Commission, troubleshoot, and operate engines, pumps, valves, HVAC, and auxiliary systems
  • Perform flushing, alignment, calibration, and system checks
  • Read and interpret pressure/temperature/flow data
  • Conduct operational and demonstration tests
  • Support sea trials, stand watch, and coordinate with test teams
  • Follow all LOTO and safety procedures

Electrical Test & Trials Responsibilities

  • Perform full electrical testing on shipboard systems
  • Troubleshoot and rewire motors, VFDs, controllers, transformers, relay panels, alarms
  • Diagnose issues preventing system testing
  • Use meters to verify voltage, amperage, resistance, continuity
  • Document deficiencies and test results
  • Support integrated testing with mechanical teams

Requirements

  • 4+ years shipyard or marine system experience (mechanical or electrical)
  • Ability to read schematics, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Must pass all pre‐employment screenings
  • Overtime and sea trial availability required
