Job description

We have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Landscape Designer. In this pivotal role, you will nurture client relationships and create designs that bring customers’ dreams to life. The ideal candidate will also have a desire to live out our values of: Excellence, Positivity, Integrity, and Collaboration.

THE ROLE

  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Maintain and cultivate current customer relationships and referral sources. Communicate regularly with clients on project updates, alterations, and designs. Actively represent the company in the community. Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion and review final project statements.
  • ACHIEVE SALES PERFORMANCE GOALS: Track sales targets and milestones. Utilize strong sales skills to showcase company capabilities and competitive advantages. Prepare detailed, competitive estimates that align with company gross margin goals and meet client budget requirements.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Take accurate measurements and elevations of client properties. Ensure accurate, to-scale designs that bring client ideas to life and guide production teams. Produce detailed job packets with all necessary information for seamless installations. Coordinate with Operations and the customer before, during, and after the project. Maintain records in the company's sales tracking system and provide regular updates.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITY

  • KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Horticulture, Construction, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Consistent work history with a minimum of 2 years in landscape design, in roles such as Landscape Sales Designer, Landscape Sales Consultant, or similar role in the landscaping, construction, or service industry.
  • SKILLS: Proven sales ability with consistent results and productivity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, employees, and stakeholders. Familiarity with landscaping design software and project management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and thrive under pressure through a commitment to excellence.
  • ABILITY: This role is onsite and requires reporting to our office in Waterloo, NE. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a felony/misdemeanor background and driving (Motor Vehicle Record) check.
