Job Description

Assist the department managers in the overall operation of the department by completing assigned duties, and by serving in the capacity of the department manager in his/her absence of the manager.

Job Functions

  • Train and supervise employees.  Use verbal and written communication between departments and co-workers.
  • Monitor performance to ensure adequate cleanliness and stock level of guest rooms.
  • Physically inspect guest rooms.
  • Assist with establishing department guidelines, rules and regulations, and training programs.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns.
  • Prepare requisitions, reports, correspondence, and forms relative to the operations of the department.
  • Operate vacuum cleaners and shampoo machines.
  • Clean and dust, including closest shelves, picture frames, mirrors, tubs and showers.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of related supervisory, training or work experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about proper housekeeping techniques, implements, and handling of chemicals.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to perform all duties of a Guest Room Attendant, including but not limited to: vacuuming, changing linens, sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be computer literate. 

Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.
