We collaborate across time zones to support projects on all major platforms, engines and styles - from AAA titles to emerging technologies.

Our team includes world-class talents who bring deep expertise in external development, pipeline optimization, and creative problem-solving. Whether it's porting games to new systems, enhancing gameplay features, or crafting stunning visuals, Devoted Studios operates as a trusted, flexible extension of our partners' internal teams.

We are proud to be the development partner of choice for industry leaders such as:

    • Epic
    • Xbox
    • Meta
    • Obsidian Entertainment

    • Gearbox Software

As a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for testing gameplay features, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with the development team to ensure issues are properly understood, prioritised, and resolved.

You will play an important role throughout the development cycle, from testing new features and builds through to regression testing and release preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on functional, gameplay, regression, exploratory, and integration testing.
  • Test new features and gameplay systems against design and technical requirements.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track bugs through to resolution.
  • Create clear and detailed bug reports, including reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, and supporting evidence.

  • Test across different game builds and configurations and identify issues specific to particular platforms or environments.
  • Work closely with Developers, Designers, Producers, and other QA team members to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, bug triage, and other Agile development processes.
  • Help maintain and improve QA processes, test plans, checklists, and documentation.
  • Identify potential quality risks early in the development process and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support milestone and release testing, including prioritising critical issues under tight deadlines.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback on overall build quality and game functionality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional QA experience within the video game industry.
  • Strong understanding of game testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Experience testing gameplay features and systems across development builds.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues that may negatively impact the player experience.
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate bugs and technical issues.
  • Experience using bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary development team.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
  • Experience testing games developed using Unreal Engine 5.
  • Previous experience testing multiplayer or online games, including network-related functionality.
  • Experience with multiplayer testing scenarios such as matchmaking, connectivity, latency, sessions, progression, and synchronisation.
  • Experience testing games across multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine tools and workflows.
  • Experience testing console builds.
  • Experience with performance, stability, or compatibility testing.
  • Experience working on AAA or AA game projects.
  • Knowledge of basic QA automation or scripting.
