Job Summary
The Student Ambassador & Office Assistant serves as a welcoming and knowledgeable representative of the Division of Games, providing exceptional customer service while supporting student engagement, outreach, events, and daily office operations. This position combines administrative responsibilities with presentations, recruitment, and collaboration across campus to foster an inclusive and connected student community.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, answering phones, responding to emails, and providing accurate information about Division of Games programs and University resources.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of events, workshops, guest speakers, orientations, recruitment activities, and other Division initiatives.
  • Represent the Division of Games through classroom presentations, campus tabling, student organization outreach, tours, and community events.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, tutors, student organizations, and campus partners to promote student engagement and success.
  • Maintain organized office operations, complete administrative tasks, and support ongoing projects as assigned.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service, confidentiality, and attention to detail in all interactions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Current undergraduate student at the University of Utah in good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable with public speaking, networking, and engaging with diverse audiences.
