What is a game planner?

Game Planners are professionals who design and organize the overall structure, rules, and flow of video games. They work closely with game designers, artists, and programmers to develop concepts, create documentation, and ensure the gameplay is engaging and balanced. Game Planners are responsible for outlining storylines, designing levels, and specifying the mechanics that make the game enjoyable. Their role is crucial in bridging creative ideas and technical execution to deliver a cohesive gaming experience.

How does a game planner typically collaborate with other departments during the game development process?

Game Planners work closely with designers, artists, programmers, and producers to ensure that the game's vision is executed effectively. They are responsible for creating and maintaining detailed game design documents, coordinating timelines, and facilitating communication between departments.
