Summary of Job Duties:
The Extra Help Assistant/ JSC Event Staff will be responsible for directly assisting the Director of Facilities and Game Operations and the Assistant Director of Facilities and Game Operations with the management of game day and athletics facilities operations. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience working in athletic events;
  • At least 18 years old.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitors doors to ensure appropriate personnel are entering/existing;
  • Verify ticket purchased for the game;
  • Greets all faculty and staff, guests, families, etc., passing through;
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer-service skills;
  • Assist with managing the upkeep and appearance of the JSC facilities;
  • Concessions and Suites;
  • Assist in set-up and tear down of events;
  • Assist with special events and external events scheduled in athletics facilities;
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Ability to work nights and weekends;
  • Ability to lift and move athletics equipment up to 50 pounds;
  • Ability to effectively communicate;
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions;
  • Be at events at designated times.
