Job description

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.
The successful candidate for this Software Engineer position will to support the B-1b/B-52 Software team located at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK and will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software system and subsystem engineering models utilizing Jira throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements and technical specifications for stakeholder use.
The Software Engineer will collaborate with a diverse engineering team to design, develop, and deploy operational flight software used to monitor and test the system. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing system and subsystem components and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will be a system and subsystem resource to team members, who will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
Required Experience:
- Ability to code in C and/or ADA
- Embedded software design experience preferred
- Experience with JIRA
