The Captain of the Watch - Marine Safety serves as the on-shift marine safety coordinator for Boomtown Belle II, a permanently moored gaming vessel. This position is responsible for maintaining vessel safety awareness, coordinating emergency response, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Serve as the on-shift leader for marine safety and emergency response coordination
  • Execute and direct actions in accordance with the Station Bill and Emergency Procedures
  • Maintain situational awareness of all vessel conditions impacting safety
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts with the Engineer of the Watch, Security, and RBT personnel
  • Ensure rapid and effective response during fire, flooding, medical, or other emergency events
  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).
