We are looking for a Manager, Network Engineer to lead our team of network engineers and oversee the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise network infrastructure.
This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a global team of network engineers, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and technical leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define architectural strategies, budget priorities, and workload distribution.
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers to deliver highly available, cost-optimized network solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and other network infrastructure components.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance to proactively identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks.
  • Ensure seamless integration and operation of network systems by collaborating with other IT teams.
  • Conduct network capacity planning and recommend upgrades or enhancements to support future growth.
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control measures.
  • Troubleshoot network-related issues, identifying root causes and deploying timely solutions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering and cybersecurity.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other IT staff.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience leading technical teams, providing guidance and strategic direction.
  • Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, and WLAN technologies and protocols.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network environments.
  • Expert knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network management platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  • Deep understanding of OSI model networking (L1-L7), including the ability to support application access concerns for development teams.
  • Experience managing enterprise IPv4 addressing schemes.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including knowledge of protocol analyzers, change management, and network monitoring tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a broad audience.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities while maintaining focus and efficiency.
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure, responding to high-stakes situations effectively and professionally.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable network services while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNP/CCDP preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, or Fortinet network devices.
  • Experience implementing Network Access Control (802.1x) using Aruba ClearPass Policy Server and/or Cisco Identity Services Engine.
  • Strong knowledge of security engineering, authentication protocols, cryptography, and application security.
  • Exceptional technical documentation skills, including the ability to create clear network diagrams and process documentation.
