Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Makes independent judgements and enforces the rules according to the sport
  • Communicates with adults and groups of youth in various sports settings;
  • Adheres to established instructional teaching and lesson plans;
  • Maintains equipment and insures equipment is properly stored at completion of practice or games;
  • Distributes forms and schedules to parents as assigned;
  • Attends training as scheduled;
  • Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practices

Qualifications
Acceptable Experience and Training
  • Requires excellent work ethic and experience working with elementary age children through child care or similar group activities; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Required Special Qualifications
  • Valid Iowa Driver's License preferred.

Supplemental Information
Position Schedule
  • Average of 8-15 hours/week depending on program needs and availability; weeknight evenings and weekend mornings required
