The Real Estate design team sits within Walmart's Global Design organization, supporting Field Associate Tools. We design the tools that run Walmart's physical portfolio: facilities management, store remodels, new store builds, and technician enablement. Our work reaches thousands of field associates, technicians, contractors, and vendors every day.
We partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders across Global Realty to turn complex field workflows into clear, intuitive experiences. We're modernizing legacy tooling, surfacing AI-driven insights, and building a long-term vision for Realty operations at scale. We're a small, senior team - everyone owns their space and shapes where we go next. What You'll Do
  • Drive end-to-end experience strategy across a major pillar of Walmart's physical operations - from research to final execution
  • Lead user research initiatives including field interviews, site visits, and workflow analysis that surface actionable insights for design strategy
  • Develop user journeys, interaction models, and prototypes for both desktop web and native mobile platforms used by a field workforce
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business partners to align UX solutions with operational goals and associate needs
  • Design scalable, accessible interfaces that meet native mobile conventions and Walmart's Living Design standards
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate rapidly based on real-world feedback from field users
  • Maintain design documentation - specifications, pattern libraries, and style guides - to ensure consistency across the pillar
  • Mentor designers on the team, model high standards, and contribute to a culture of craft and accountability
