Position Summary

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality packaging, product graphics, and marketing materials that bring Goliath's brands to life. This role develops creative solutions for packaging, game components, displays, and promotional materials while ensuring artwork is production-ready and meets manufacturing specifications.

The Graphic Designer partners closely with the Art Director, Brand Management, Project Management, and cross-functional teams to deliver compelling creative that supports product launches and business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesGraphic Design & Creative Development
  • Design artwork for game packaging, instruction manuals, game boards, point-of-purchase displays, trade show graphics, and other marketing materials.
  • Research trends and develop creative packaging and product designs that appeal to target consumers.
  • Create and modify packaging dielines using templates or custom specifications.
  • Develop layouts with strong typography, composition, and attention to brand consistency.
  • Stay current on trends in packaging, toys, games, entertainment, and pop culture to inspire innovative design solutions.
Production & Artwork Management
  • Prepare production-ready artwork by ensuring layouts are accurate, complete, and error-free before release to manufacturing.
  • Verify all artwork includes correct imagery, product descriptions, logos, legal copy, and other required elements.
  • Preflight, package, and organize artwork files for factory production.
  • Maintain organized file structures and version control throughout the design process.
  • Assist with photo editing and artwork preparation as needed.
Collaboration & Project Management
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously while managing shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director, Project Managers, Brand Management, and other stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Incorporate feedback and complete revisions efficiently while maintaining a high level of design quality.
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of graphic design and production experience in an agency, studio, or in-house creative environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and print production.
  • Experience preparing production-ready files and prepress artwork.
  • Experience with consumer packaging design.
  • Dieline creation and editing experience preferred.
  • Experience working with licensed brands and style guides is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and file management practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, error-free work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working on a Mac platform.
  • Illustration, 3D rendering, logo design, large-format graphics, and photo editing experience are a plus.
