Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Site/Civil Engineer or Landscape Architect) to join our Land Development team in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is ideal for a licensed professional who thrives in a leadership position-managing complex projects, mentoring teams, navigating regulatory processes, and helping grow a well-established and collaborative practice.
What You'll Do
As a senior leader within our Land Development group, you'll be responsible for the successful delivery of complex site development projects while serving as a mentor to staff and a strategic partner to practice leadership.
  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, landscape architects, and designers delivering high-quality civil/site designs
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle-from due diligence and concept development through zoning, permitting, construction documents, and construction support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients across commercial, mixed-use, retail, industrial, energy, and other land development projects
  • Partner closely with the Practice Leader to grow the business by strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
  • Prepare and oversee fee proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and profitably
  • Provide technical oversight, mentorship, and professional development guidance to support team growth and project success
  • Conduct site visits, review existing conditions, and support construction inspections as needed
  • Collaborate with project support staff on project setup, invoicing, forecasting, and closeout to ensure strong project administration
  • Prepare and review technical reports, regulatory submittals, and client deliverables to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.

What We're Looking For:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) license (required)
  • Extensive experience in land development engineering/design, permitting, and regulatory processes
  • Proven success managing complex projects, multidisciplinary teams, and client relationships
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal development, contract administration, and project financial management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications
  • Education and/or Skills Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in related field (AEC Industry) and minimum of 6 years of related professional experience, or 10 years of equivalent
    professional experience.
    • Experience should include a track record of expanding project management duties.
    • Proven experience in project management roles, with a focus on managing larger-scale projects or programs.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and
    documentation.
    • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
    • Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
• Master's Degree in related field (AEC Industry)
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
• Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
