Title:
Ticket Sales Consultant (Part-Time Internship)
Location: Omaha, NE
Position Summary
LOVB Nebraska is seeking an energetic, motivated, and relationship-driven part-time Ticket Sales Consultant intern to support ticket sales, fan engagement, and customer service initiatives throughout the volleyball season. This internship offers hands-on experience in professional sports sales while working alongside the Ticket Sales, Marketing, and Partnerships teams.
The ideal candidate is eager to build a career in sports, enjoys connecting with people, and is excited to learn the fundamentals of ticket sales, customer relationship management, and game day operations. This role provides valuable exposure to all aspects of a professional sports ticket sales department while contributing to revenue generation and creating memorable fan experiences.
Commitment
• Approximately 15-25 hours per week (flexible around class schedules).
• Expected to work in the office during weekdays.
• Evening, weekend, and game day availability required.
• Must be available for all LOVB Nebraska home matches, select community events, and promotional appearances.
• Internship runs through the 2026-27 LOVB Nebraska season.
Key Responsibilities
Ticket Sales & Revenue Generation
• Conduct outbound sales calls, emails, and follow-up communications to prospective customers.
• Assist in selling season ticket memberships, partial plans, group outings, premium seating, and single-game tickets.
• Generate new leads through networking, community outreach, referrals, and prospecting.
• Help support sales campaigns and special promotional initiatives.
• Meet established sales activity goals while developing professional sales skills.
Fan Service & Relationship Building
• Deliver exceptional customer service to season ticket members, group leaders, and fans.
• Assist with servicing existing accounts through proactive communication.
• Respond to ticket inquiries and help resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
• Build relationships that encourage repeat attendance and long-term fan loyalty.
Group Sales & Community Engagement
• Support outreach to local businesses, schools, youth volleyball clubs, and community organizations.
• Assist with planning and coordinating group experiences and fan engagement opportunities.
• Represent LOVB Nebraska at community events, networking opportunities, and grassroots marketing initiatives.
Game Day Responsibilities
• Assist with ticket sales, customer service, and fan engagement during home matches.
• Help execute group experiences, hospitality events, and promotional activations.
• Support the ticket sales staff in identifying additional sales opportunities on game day.
• Represent LOVB Nebraska in a professional, enthusiastic, and fan-first manner.
Operations & Professional Development
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within CRM.
• Assist with sales reporting and departmental projects.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Partnerships, and Operations to support organizational initiatives.
• Learn best practices in professional sports sales, customer service, and revenue generation.
