Overview

Provides on-site emergency medical assistance as required, within EMT scope of practice and performs duties of a Public Safety Officer.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains EMT equipment to ensure a constant state of EMT response readiness.
  • Responds to requests for medical assistance.
  • Performs thorough patient assessments in accordance with EMT protocols.
  • Administers appropriate treatment within EMT Scope of Practice.
  • Initiates requests for Advanced Life Support as needed.
  • Interacts with ALS personnel and provides seamless interface at transfer of patient care.
  • Provides comprehensive documentation of incident contact on PCR and computer data entry.
  • Maintains personal skill level through participation with in-service training programs.
  • Maintains a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor in interaction with guests and fellow Team Members.
  • Serves as a technician by collecting/processing urine samples for drug testing in accordance with policy/procedures.
  • Performs public safety officer duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, visitor escorts to Tribal Gaming Agency and handling lost and found items.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Prior EMT experience is preferred.
  • Current California State Emergency Medical Technician certification.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Required to pass EMT Skills Evaluation Patient Assessment. 
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
