Responsibilities
Join State Farm's B2B Identity and Access Management (BIAM) team, which provides secure, intuitive identity experiences for business customers. Our platform supports registration, authentication, account recovery, profile management, user administration, and employee-assisted support. Our customers are independent businesses that use secure State Farm content and applications to better serve State Farm and its policyholders.
Our platform runs on AWS and Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) and integrates with Microsoft Entra External ID and Microsoft Graph. In addition to supporting existing applications, you'll work on future capabilities such as Microsoft Entra Phone OTP, passkeys, and multi-shop owner login and transitioning user experiences to the State Farm Design System.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, deploy, and support secure, scalable applications and APIs.
  • Develop full-stack AWS/ROSA solutions using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, REST, and GraphQL.
  • Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) and delivery pipelines with GitLab CI/CD and Docker. Improve application security, reliability, observability, testing, and maintainability.
  • Troubleshoot issues across applications, cloud infrastructure and identity services.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, security, architecture, and engineering teams.
  • Use AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, etc. to improve engineering productivity.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, and APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native development.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, automated testing, and relational databases.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in an Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GraphQL, ROSA, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience adopting an enterprise design system and building accessible user interfaces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Graph, IAM, passwordless authentication, passkeys, or OTP. Experience with TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with Dynatrace, production support, and end-to-end software delivery.
  • Familiarity with the Merna tech stack and direction.

  • Potential starting salary range: $105,000 - $140,000
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
