Position Overview:

The HR intern is responsible for providing support to the HR team within assigned markets and/or customer accounts. Assists in projects related to initiatives specific to the site or our admin building they are supporting, while ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met. The project can be related to Human Resources Management (HRM) systems, project management assistance, and employee support.

At ID Logistics, our internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply their academic understanding in a real-world, business-driven environment. This internship provides a blended approach to broaden the student's knowledge of an exposure to Human Resources and the supply chain industry. The intern is responsible for supporting the business strategically through idea generation, analysis, and innovation. The internship program includes visibility to upper management, professional training, and networking opportunities. The HR intern(s) will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices, confidentiality agreements, and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

Work Location:This role will be placed in a market/location specific to the customer account they are supporting. Exact locations can include Atlanta, GA.

Work Schedule:First Shift - Part time within Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Work Travel:5% domestic travel.

Compensation:Attractive hourly salary of $17-$20/hour,with potential for higher compensation based on graduate status and experience.

Term:Summer co-op (June-Aug) - 20-40 hours a week. Potential option to extend summer internship as co-op (20 - 40 hours/week) for fall or spring semesters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing projects that require operational observations, data collection, cross functional communication, and problem solving
  • Process mapping and creating standard work instruction Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Bill of Materials (BOMs), etc.
  • Participating in different facets of in-person in hiring events
  • Performs analytical work within the assigned functional area.
  • Conducts research related to human resource management using the internet and other sources of information.
  • Creates or updates systems or databases for specific department needs.
  • May assume the duties normally performed in the department, alongside professionals who perform these roles.
  • Works with various departments and/or vendors to gather information needed for various projects.
  • Presents a term project that will be presented to the HR management staff at the end of internship
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate
