What is a Fyzical therapist?

A Fyzical therapist is a licensed healthcare professional who works at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, specializing in physical therapy, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and wellness programs. They help patients recover from injuries, surgeries, or medical conditions that affect movement and balance. Fyzical therapists develop customized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life. They also use advanced equipment and evidence-based techniques to ensure the best outcomes for their patients.

What are the typical daily responsibilities for a physical therapist at FYZICAL?

Physical therapists at FYZICAL typically begin their day by reviewing patient schedules and treatment plans, followed by conducting one-on-one therapy sessions that may include assessments, hands-on therapies, and exercise supervision. They collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapy assistants and physicians, to ensure cohesive patient care. Documentation of patient progress, goal setting, and periodic re-evaluations are also key parts of the daily routine. Additionally, FYZICAL emphasizes patient education and engagement, so therapists often spend time teaching proper exercises and injury prevention strategies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a FYZICAL physical therapist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a FYZICAL physical therapist, you need a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, state licensure, and strong knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. Familiarity with balance assessment tools, electronic medical records, and specialized therapy equipment is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate patients set top performers apart. These competencies enable therapists to deliver effective, individualized care and help patients achieve optimal recovery outcomes.

Job description

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Cumming GA is hiring Physical Therapists! The position can be part-time or full-time. Our clinic is independently owned and operated, yet part of a vast network of over 600 clinics nationwide. This allows you, as the therapist, to have the benefits of working for a small company but not losing access to the resources of a large one.

We are opening more clinics in the area, so any level of experience can find their fit here. If you have been practicing for quite a while, you may be the one that takes the lead here or at our next clinic. If you are less experienced or even a new grad, in addition to working with your colleagues in our clinic, we have an internal learning track for clinicians as well as a local mentorship program established with clinician mentors at FYZICAL clinics around metro Atlanta!

Like most PT clinics, most of our caseload is orthopedics. What sets us apart is our trademarked balance paradigm and treatment of balance dysfunctions. If you don’t have a strong background in balance or vestibular disorders, don’t worry! Every therapist will go through FYZICAL’s continuing education program to ensure top level care for balance and vestibular patients.

Our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art balance equipment including Solo-Step® overhead support systems, infrared goggles for observing nystagmus to identify specific vestibular dysfunctions, Virtual Reality goggles for vestibular treatments, and BodiTrak balance pad for pressure mapping and performing the CTSIB. Every therapist also has unlimited access to a large internal library of online continuing education as well as in-person classes nationwide.

We welcome pelvic floor therapists! If you are interested in pelvic floor but haven’t been trained, we have an excellent training program with both online and in-person classes! We believe pelvic floor dysfunction is underreported, underdiagnosed, and undertreated. We are passionate about bringing greater access to this therapy and getting these patients back to loving their lives.

The clinic is located close to GA 400 in Forsyth County, one of the fastest growing counties in the US. “FoCo” is a great place to live and work, featuring the highest ranked public schools in the state, excellent quality of life, and low taxes. Nearby, you’ll find easy access to great parks, hiking trails, Lake Lanier, and the Chattahoochee River; as well as great shopping and entertainment at The Collection, Halcyon, the North GA Outlets, Cumming City Center, Ameris Bank Amphitheater, downtown Alpharetta, and more.

If you’re not just looking for a job, but a place where you can prove what you’re made of, you have reached your destination.

Apply now to join the FYZICAL family and work in a facility with a positive and energetic atmosphere. We look forward to hearing from you!
