Compensation: $29.00 - $41.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee HVAC system installations for new commercial construction projects
  • Coordinate with general contractors, project managers, and other trades to ensure proper system integration
  • Participate in pre-construction planning to align installation timelines with project schedules
  • Manage workflow to keep HVAC installation aligned with overall build progress
  • Supervise installation of duct systems, piping, equipment, and controls according to project specifications
  • Lead system startup and commissioning to verify proper performance before project completion
  • Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and industry regulations
  • Direct and mentor installation crews, maintaining productivity and safety on site
  • Track project progress, document changes, and report any issues encountered
  • Monitor materials and ensure all necessary equipment is available when needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, especially in new construction
  • Proven experience leading crews and training junior team members
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical plans
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and safety requirements
  • Experience coordinating with other trades (MEP environments)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet construction deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Problem-solving ability in active job site environments
  • High attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record

Preferred Certifications

  • EPA Certification
  • Active HVAC license (as required by state/local regulations)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred)
  • Additional certifications such as NATE or manufacturer-specific training are a plus
