JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Child Nutrition Technician QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of quantity cooking experience in a school, restaurant, institution or hospital.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to accurately use recipes and measurements.
- Ability to work well with others.
REPORTS TO: Child Nutrition Manager and/or Food Service Director
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must have the basic principles of cookery and must know how to use equipment such as
mixer, steamer, slicer, range, oven, tilting brazier, kettle and food grinder.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all duties for the proper preparation and service of food and the
sanitation of the job site.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Prepares and serves foods as instructed by Child Nutrition Manager and/or Child Nutrition Production Manager.
- Maintain high standard of health, sanitation and safety.
- Cleans and washes all equipment used in the preparation and serving of foods.
- Keeps own working area clean.
- Follows work schedules prepared by the Child Nutrition Manager and/or Child Nutrition Production Manager.
- Performs all duties as assigned by Child Nutrition Manager and/or Child Nutrition Production Manager.
- Operate line computer.
- Clean and mop floors in preparation and serving areas as assigned by Child Nutrition Manager and/or Child Nutrition Production Manager.
- Any related duty assigned by Child Nutrition Manager and/or Food Service Director.
- Treat all students, coworkers, and other employees with dignity and respect at all times.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a polite, supportive working relationship with co-workers.
- Support and assist new employees.
- Serves as a designee as backup manager at any school when necessary.
