Job description

Youth Sports Coach (Captain in Training)
Organization: Good Call Sports
Sports: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Flag Football, Multi-Sport
Position Type: Part-Time → Leadership Track Available
Location: Schools, Parks, and Partner Facilities
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate + Advancement Opportunities
This Is Not a Typical Coaching Job

This is an opportunity to become a leader in an organization that is changing youth sports.
At Good Call Sports, we don’t just run leagues. We build confidence. We develop leaders. We create environments where every child plays, improves, and belongs.
We are looking for coaches who bring energy, professionalism, and ownership. Coaches who understand they are shaping how children see themselves not just teaching sports.
If you want to show up, collect a paycheck, and go home, this is not the role for you.
If you want to lead, grow, and make an impact every single day, keep reading.
Your Mission

Deliver high-energy, structured sports sessions that develop:
  • Confidence
  • Coordination
  • Effort
  • Teamwork
  • Love for the game
You will coach youth athletes ages 3–12 in soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football using our proprietary play-based curriculum designed to maximize engagement and repetition.
Every child moves. Every child participates. Every child improves.
No benches. No politics. No favorites.
Core Responsibilities:

Elite Coaching & Session Leadership:
  • Lead structured, high-energy youth sports sessions across multiple sports.
  • Deliver curriculum focused on skill development through play-based learning.
  • Maintain full control and engagement of groups of 8–20 athletes.
  • Adapt coaching style based on age and skill level.
  • Create an environment where every athlete feels successful.
Professional Ownership:
  • Arrive early and fully prepared for every session.
  • Set up and break down equipment efficiently.
  • Take full responsibility for session quality and athlete experience.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
Athlete Development:
  • Build confidence in athletes through encouragement and leadership.
  • Teach fundamentals of soccer, basketball, baseball, and flag football.
  • Maximize touches, repetitions, and engagement.
  • Ensure zero standing around and zero disengagement.
Leadership & Growth Opportunity:

High performers will have opportunities to grow into:
  • Lead Coach
  • Site Director
  • Program Director
  • Regional Leadership Roles
We promote leaders, not tenure.
Minimum Requirements:

Non-negotiable:
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Consistent availability.
  • Extremely dependable and punctual.
  • High energy and positive presence.
  • Ability to lead and control groups of young athletes.
  • Professional communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Coaching experience in soccer, basketball, baseball, or football.
  • Experience working with children ages 3–12.
  • Athletic background (high school, college, or recreational).
  • Education, kinesiology, or child development background.

We can teach curriculum. We cannot teach energy, ownership, and reliability.
What Separates Our Coaches:

Our coaches:
  • Bring energy every session.
  • Take ownership.
  • Lead, not supervise.
  • Build relationships with athletes and families.
  • Represent Good Call Sports with professionalism.
Our coaches do not:
  • Stand around.
  • Check their phones.
  • Show up late.
  • Treat this like a temporary job.
Compensation & Advancement:

We reward performance, not time served.
Opportunities include:
  • Pay increases based on performance.
  • Leadership roles.
  • Expanded hours.
  • Program leadership positions.
  • Long-term career opportunities within Good Call Sports.
Who This Is Perfect For:

  • Former athletes.
  • Future teachers.
  • Coaches who want to grow.
  • Leaders who want responsibility.
  • High-energy individuals who love working with kids.
Our Promise

Everyone Plays. Every Time.
No benches. No politics. No favorites.
We are building the future of youth sports, and we are looking for leaders to help build it.
