Job description

Underground Solutions (UGS) has an opening for a Fusion Technician. This is a remote position and will handle work in Texas (Houston to Corpus Christi). You MUST reside in that region. Underground Solutions, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company, is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing companies in the water infrastructure and electrical conduit market with a portfolio of proprietary and patented technologies targeting water and wastewater infrastructure improvement and undergrounding of electrical conduit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5 years of construction experience, ideally with some Fusible PVC or HDPE experience
  • Experience with the construction process and methods for pipeline installation, preferred
  • Effectively correspond and verbally communicate in a professional manner with general and drilling contractors and co-workers
  • Must be mechanically inclined with strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clear driving record, and have or able to obtain a DOT medical card with DOT physical
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision from a remote home office
  • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the timefor 1 to 2 weeks at a time
  • Computer literacy with ability to learn quickly

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for fusing our patented Fusible PVC pipe by means of a thermal butt fusion technology and providing on-site assistance to installation contractors in a fast-paced, small company atmosphere
  • Providing PVC fusion services while working closely with contractors on the jobsite.
  • Represent our company on the job site and must be able to conduct themselves professionally
  • Training and assisting customers with various fusion joining and field installation processes
  • Travel to and from work sites with extended assignments of one to two weeks at a time
  • Perform maintenance of fusion machines
  • Working outdoors and on-site to exacting QA/QC specifications and documentation requirements
