Job Summary:The Design Engineer is directly responsible to ensure product CAD design, drawing and math data integrity for current and new business opportunities. Feasibility/design Review/vehicle assembly study and problem resolution, quote technical review lead, building a good bridge between OEMs and company side. This position is sometimes co-located with the customer and supports ongoing change management, overall customer satisfaction and account growth.III. Job Functions and DutiesNO.Representative Duties1Responsible for feasibility study for each design scenario and design change.2Ability for math file design software like CATIA/Teamcenter (both capable for 3D math file and drawing).3Take part charge of quotation work, communication and technical clarification with customer for BOM list/design feasibility/cost impact etc.4Taking charge for design change management from customer side to plant side including math file/drawing creation and transfer to plant and make sure plant is running in a correct way.5Dealing with OEMs internal work activity and maintain OEM internal work procedure like Engineer change(WERS)/DFMEA/VALIDATION PLAN etc.6Follow up the product assembly condition to the vehicle, make sure product design work is good, and use expertise to figure out solutions for different issues.7Evaluate the encapsulated product feasibility with different plastic material like PVC injection/TPE injection/PU injection.IⅤ. QualificationJob RequirementsLanguageLanguages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.Experience1. More than 1 years experience with automotive OEM's and/or Tier 1 Suppliers, with glass group experience, technology, design, quality or production preferred.
EducationBachelor's degree in engineering, sciencesPhysical ConditionThis position will spend the majority of time in office environments within Fuyao and onsite at various customer locations.
It will be frequently necessary to spend time on the manufacturing floor within Fuyao and also onsite at customer locations.
Strict observance of Fuyao safety policy & standards, use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as compliance with our customer's safety policies are mandatory.Other Requirements 1. Familiar with automotive glass product and material performance and automotive part production process.
